Suzanne will present a brief background of Shamanic practices, details about shamanic drumming & what characteristics make it a shamanic practice, the intent of the shamanic beat. Basic information on drums, different drum styles, how to hold your drum & beater, how to care for the drum.
Participants will be introduced to journeying in the nonordinary realities common to shamanic practice. They will be instructed in how to reach one of these alternate realities to meet a spirit guide. This guide will then assist each person in meeting one of their power animals. The guides and animals enable and protect further exploration of nonordinary reality. All of this will be accompanied with drumming by the instructor.
Next will be a group drumming experience, 15 minutes in length, with a particular intention as its goal.
No Admission Fee
Donations gratefully accepted for Suzanne.
